American Legion Baseball
Northwest Regional Tournament
Stadium - Dehler Park
Host – Post 4, Billings, MT

American Legion Baseball is a national institution, having thrived through a world war, several national tragedies, and times of great prosperity as well as great despair.

The league still stands behind the traditional values upon which it was founded in 1925. American Legion Baseball has taught hundreds of thousands of young Americans the importance of sportsmanship, good health and active citizenship. The program is also a promoter of equality, making teammates out of young athletes regardless of their income levels or social standings. American Legion Baseball has been, and continues to be, a stepping stone to manhood for millions of young men who have gone on to serve their country or community, raise families or play the sport at the highest level.

The Oregon Independent Baseball Association (OIBA) is a HS summer baseball league in the Portland area. It is varsity level without MOST of the '12 graduated seniors. Think of it as next years varsity rosters.

HS Baseball and Softball Scores/Schedules

High School spring sports starts in Oregon on 3/12. There are several places on the net for HS scores and schedules. The best site that I can find is w3.osaa.org/scorecenter. This site has all league and playoff info.

OregonPrepSports.net "Oregon's High School Sports Source" is a very informative site with schedules, scores, standings and more for H.S. sports in Oregon.

www.oregonlive.com has a sortable "scores/schedule" thing that is pretty good. Also the "Forums" can be helpful for scores. The Portland Interscholastic league (PIL) schedules for the spring sports are available here.

The most important thing to have if you're going to go see a PIL game is the rain-out phone number 503-916-3226. It is updated every day.

Other Portland area league pages are here:
www.nwoc5a.org
www.metroleague.org
www.pacificconference.org
oregonsportscores.org is another site you might try.

Babe Ruth and Little League Seniors

Some H.S. age baseball players play on their H.S. teams and also on L.L. Seniors (14-16) or Babe Ruth (13-15)(16-18) teams. If a player doesn't want to make as big of a commitment of time they can forgo H.S. athletics and stick to the other organizations.

For more info on all the organizations listed above please check the leagues out in the "Links" section an the menu to the left.
