Spring ’08 TRYOUTS
8th Grade and High School Girls
You’re invited to the Blazers Club Basketball SPRING ’08 team try outs. This try out is designed to find young ball players that have the desire and passion to participate in moderate to high level tournament competition. Teams will be formed according to number of players, coaches and court space allow. Tournament and/or League schedule will be made after an evaluation of the teams.
What are we looking for?
- High School ball players (and current 8th graders) with:
- a strong desire to work on their game with other committed players in competitive practices and tournaments while away from their high school teams
- existing skills, endurance, and knowledge of the game
- the commitment to work hard in and out of practice
What is your time commitment?
- Two practices a week March thru May
- Players return to (or tryout for) their high school teams in June (no conflicts!)
- 1-2 tournaments a month
- Schedule may vary at discretion of club director to accommodate needs of each team
- Financial obligations and potential tournament schedule will be discussed at the Blazer Parent Meeting (TBD).
Players (new and returning) must attend all tryouts (at PYC) on the following dates:
- Sat, Mar 1, 5-7pm
- Sat, Mar 8, 5-7pm
- Sat, Mar 15, 2-4pm
Beginning March 18th practices will be:
· Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-8:30pm at the Page Center
