Frontier Falls to Spartans
May 10, 2006  --   Andy O'Donnell led the Spartans with 5 innings of 3 hit pitching en route to a 8-4 win against Frontier. Andy Lane helped his pitcher with 2 hits including an RBI double. The Spartans played well defensively making only 1 error while throwing out many of the Frontier baserunners to end potential rallies.

May 6, 2006  --   The Modified Baseball Spartans topped Clarence 10-7. The Spartans fell behind 2-0 but were steadied by the pitching & the hitting of Jacob Roche. Marty Loyd, Brian Sexton, and Jon Corbi had strong games for the Spartans.

Maryvale Edges Spartans
April 28, 2006  --   The Modified Spartans lost a close game on Friday, 5-4 to Maryvale at Sark Park. The Spartans fell behind 5-0 until the bats exploded for a 4 run rally late in the game. Paul Lane led the attack with an 2 hits while Jon Corbi pitched 4 scoreless innings in relief of Andy O'Donnell. Brian Sexton's sacrifice bunt to move runners over to 2nd & 3rd in the 4th inning ignited the Spartans rally.

Starpoint Slumps Against Wil-South
April 27, 2006  --   Dennis Lenhard recorded Starpoint's only hit of the afternoon in a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Williamsville South. Andy Lane struck out five and Tony Ryer struck out three and only gave up one hit in relief of Lane. Glenn Toczek made an outstanding diving catch in the bottom of the fifth.

1st Ever Modified Scrimmage!!
April 10, 2006  --   The Starpoint Spartans Modified Baseball Team played their 1st ever scrimmage yesterday dropping a 6-3 defeat at the hands on the Tonawanda Warriors. Jon Corbi led the offense with 2 RBI's while Jacob Roche steadied the Spartans with 4 innings of solid relief pitching after Starpoint fell behind 6-0. A 7th inning rally was not enough as the Spartans left 12 runners on base. Steve Smouse added one hit and Glenn Toczek played well defensively.
