Softball Nation Autumn Shootout
(Silver Division) Champs!
End of Season Show Stopper:
Another good outing for the girls. Started off pool play with a tight win over Orion Hunter, the eventual winner of the tournament. The ladies rolled right into to the next game and were victorious. However, after losing the last game of the day, the ladies fell just short of a #1 seed and went into Sundays tournament play as 2nd seed.
The girls won the quarter final game but didn't get past the Va. Lady Titans in the semi-finals. Based on overall record and 2nd fewest runs allowed (2nd only to the Tournament Champions) the Lady Tides placed Third in the Gold Bracket.
Good way to end the fall season with a strong outing. Now, onto winter training and preparations for the upcoming spring season.
Autumn Shootout:
Overall a good weekend. After a rough start on Saturday, the girls defeated the eventual winner of the gold championship in their last pool play game. Sunday, our Lady Tides started off strong and took the #1 seed of the opposing bracket to an 8 inning ITB. The girls stayed pumped up and went on to win two straight to earn the Silver Division Championship. Not bad for their 2nd ever 14U tournament. Great job Girls and Coaches!
Peninsula Scramble:
In our first 14U tournament, the 14U Lady Tides finished 5th of 21 teams and competed exclusively in the gold bracket. Not bad for our first tournament. Great job ladies!
