RIVER SHARKS ATTACK WOLVERINES 5-4!!!
March 25, 2007 --
On Sunday, March 25th, the West Milford Wolverines 12U Baseball Club fended off an early attack by the Central Jersey River Sharks, battled back valiantly in their last at-bat, but fell short 5-4 in their Central Jersey Spring Blast tournament pool game #3 at Cheesequake Park in Old Bridge NJ.
Marc Anthony Gonzalez (1-IP, 2-K, 1-ER), Jeffrey Oster (2-IP, 0-H, 4-K), Jeremy Rodriguez, and Steve Cuccio (1-IP, 3-K, 0-H, 0-ER), manned the hill for the Wolverines. Gonzalez (2-H, 2-RBI, 1-R) and Craigie Zeglen (1-H, 1-RBI) lined run scoring doubles in the last frame to fuel West Milford's comeback effort. Conor Labita's gutsy attempt to steal home was barely caught to end the game on an exciting note.

FAIRLAWN SLICES WOLVERINES 5-2!!!

On Sunday, March 25th, the West Milford Wolverines 12U Baseball Club was sliced up by the Fairlawn Cutters 5-2 in the second pool game of the Central Jersey Spring Blast tournament at Cheesequake Park in Old Bridge NJ. Nick Conlon (3-IP, 2-K), Steve Cuccio (2-IP, 4-K), and E.J. Wiegman (1-IP) pitched well for West Milford. Cuccio blasted his first homerun of the season.

SHORT HANDED WOLVERINES FALL TO CJ JAGUARS!!!
March 24, 2007 --
On Saturday, March 24th, the West Milford Wolverines 12U Baseball Club fell to the Central Jersey Jaguars 10-2 in the Central Jersey Spring Blast tournament opener at Cheesequake Park in Old Bridge NJ. Under blustery conditions, the Wolverines were unable to muster much of an offensive attack against their highly regarded opponents. Steven Sweigart belted a sole home run for West Milford. Marc Anthony Gonzalez and Jeff Oster pitched admirably as well.
