My name is Thomas Epps, president of The Great Atlantic Coast Youth FootballLeague (The ACYFL). The ACYFL was established in December of 2010 as an unlimited weight football league with the goals of providing an opportunity for players to experience competitive football above the level of the average youth football league. The Ivy provides a safe & productive environment that enables our players to learn & apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication & sportsmanship on& off the field. At the Ivy we facilitate the development of strength & character in every child that participates. It is sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment & hard work, ensuring that our league is a positive influence in the lives of our children.
It is our mission at the ACYFL that our players will positively impact their local & regional public, private & catholic high school football programs, as well as, bring national awareness to the talent here in the area. The ACYFL is a charter member of the nationally recognized United Youth Football & Cheer (UYFL),whose goals are to 1st create better young men & women, 2nd to provide an athletic outlet through football & cheer & 3rd to put all of their participants on the road to achieving a college education. Through our membership with UYFL, the ACYFL has been able to gain national recognition for our players in region by having some of our players participate in the Future All-Americans Bowl, which is a collaborative effort between UYFL & the National Football Academies (NFA) to showcase talented players from across the United States.
The reason for the letter is to 1st introduce the ACYFL to all the high school football programs in De, Pa, Md and Nj. 2nd to gain exposure & support from our public, private & catholic high schools to help our player’s transition into high school. And 3rd, to ask for help from our high schools to continue to help build the BRAND of ACYFL football into a national power.
We at the ACYFL look forward to a long relationship helping parents understanding the next steps in continuing their student athletes’ high school career.
