Congrats to the 45 Chamblee athletes who were among the 1,049 participants in the Parkview All-Comers meet Thursday.  It was a BIG meet.  There was no team scoring, but 16 individuals and 3 relay teams finished in the top 8. APPAREL CLARIFICATION & UPDATE
There are 2 types of “apparel” for track athletes – school issued uniforms and player dues spirit wear.

SCHOOL ISSUED uniforms were distributed to athletes Wed. – this is NOT what your dues cover, but what the school provides to the team. We did NOT get new uniforms from DCSS this year.  Unfortunately, we have to work with what we have and cannot guarantee sizes/styles.  Also, we did not have enough gray sweatpants/sweatshirts or CCHS duffel bags for everyone.  Athletes signed for what they received and will be held responsible for returning those items. ALL THESE ITEMS ARE SCHOOL PROPERTY AND MUST BE RETURNED AT THE END OF THE SEASON! Wash in warm water and air dry. PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN DRYER!!

SPIRIT WEAR apparel is what a portion of your dues cover and will be distributed on Monday at the end of practice. This apparel is distributed ONLY to those athletes who have paid their dues in full.

The Girls finished 1st in the 2nd annual Buckhead Invitational, taking the "Bamblee" trophy for the 2nd year, while the Boys finished 5th. Congratulations to these 7 individuals and 2 relay teams that were awarded medals for top 3 finishes.

The Varsity Girls Track & Field team captured 1^st place at the Region 6-AAAA Championship, bringing home CCHS’s first Region Track & Field title since 2002 and marking the first time ever to capture the DeKalb County and Region title in the same year. The Boys team placed 5^th in Region 6-AAAA. 38 CCHS athletes competed and 16 advanced to Sectional competition by finishing in the top 4 (full results).

Chamblee Track Girls Capture 2^nd County Title, Boys Take 7th
Congratulations to the Girls Track & Field team on their overall 1^st place finish at the DeKalb County Track & Field Championships and to the Boys team on their 7^th place finish among 19 DeKalb County schools.
