REC UNIFORMS
Uniforms, shell and skirt, are provided by Dallastown Cougar Cheerleading and must be returned if you leave the season early or by the uniform hand in date at the end of the season. Uniform must be dry cleaned with receipt attached when returned. Failure to do so may result in a late fee. - Thank you.
POM POMS AND HAIR BOWS
Pom poms are ordered at registration and cost $30 per set. Each cheerleader needs one set. Please use a sharpie to write your cheerleader's name on the elastic strap of the pom poms.
One blue and silver hair tie will be provided to each cheerleader at no extra cost. Extra hair bows can be ordered at registration and cost $8 each. Some parents prefer to have an extra hair bow in case one gets lost. It is not mandatory to order an extra hair bow.
ORDERS FOR POM POMS AND HAIR BOWS ARE PLACED AT REGISTRATION AND MONEY IS DUE AT REGISTRATION. THEY WILL BE DELIVERED IN AUGUST DURING MANDATORY PRACTICE.
BLOOMERS AND SNEAKERS
Your cheerleader will need silver bloomers (briefs or boy cut shorts) that can be purchased at Flying Feet, 1511 Mount Rose Avenue, York. Please indicate that you are a Dallastown Cougar Cheerleader and they will help you get what you need, as well as discount. We strongly suggest that you take your cheerleader with you to be fitted for these. Flying Feet may need to order the bloomers so please visit them by July 1st to ensure you will have your items in time for picture day at the start of the season.
In addition, your cheerleader will need ANY brand of an all white cheer sneaker. You do not have to purchase these through Flying Feet, however, they are an excellent resource for cheer sneakers.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
On game days, a complete uniform consists of:
- Shell
- Skirt
- Silver briefs or boy shorts
- Hair bow
- All white, no-show socks
- White cheer sneakers
- Pom poms
- Rain Jacket
- Season Sweatshirt
Cheerleaders may wear a sports bra or undershirt under their uniforms. Please make sure they do not show, especially in the front. All cheerleaders are expected to look uniform.
RAIN GEAR
For the 2021 season, all cheerleaders will need to have a rain jacket. THIS RAIN GEAR IS PART OF THEIR UNIFORM AND SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO EACH GAME IN CASE OF WET WEATHER. If the football team is playing, the cheerleaders will be cheering whether it's sunshine, rain or snow.
COLD WEATHER GEAR
For the 2021 season, cheerleaders will receive a navy blue Cougar Cheer sweatshirt during the second week of mandatory practice. THIS SWEATSHIRT IS PART OF THEIR UNIFORM AND SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO EACH GAME IN CASE OF CHILLY/COLD WEATHER.
Navy, gray, or white hats, gloves, and earmuffs are recommended. Cheerleaders are to wear NAVY blue leggings in cold weather. LEGGINGS MUST BE PLAIN, NAVY BLUE WITH NO LOGOS (such as Old Navy, Justice, etc.).
In addition, cheerleaders will not wear jackets with zippers as they will not be allowed to cheer while wearing zippered jackets.
