SUMMER WRESTLING MAKES WINTER CHAMPIONS!
We have compiled information on wrestling camps throughout our area. More camp information will be added as it becomes available as summer gets closer. It's a fun way for your wrestler to enjoy the sport and learn from other technicians. If you want to organize a carpool, email us at hawksmembership@gmail.com and we will send out an email to the club for you.
University of North Carolina has several camps in 2017. Please see their website for more information, HERE
BROOKVILLE HS Coach Summerlin's alma mater is offering for our boys to attend their wrestling camp July 20-23. It has been very popular with our HAWKS. To download the camp flyer, click HERE
Virginia Military Institute wrestling program will hold its annual Special Ops Wrestling Camp from June 25-28, 2017 at Cormack Hall on the post of Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. We had three HAWKS attend in 2016 and really enjoyed it

GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY Coach Joe Russell offers many weeks of wrestling camps throughout the summer. For elementary ages, there is an excellent Father-Son Wrestling camp. See their site at GMU

VIRGINIA TECH offers several great wrestling camps., TBD for 2017. These require individual registration and there are many dates throughout the summer. They are also offering a commuter camp in Northern Virginia. Click here for more information VATECH
JEFF JORDAN State Champ Camp is a great camp in Urbana, OH. Several HAWK Wrestlers attended in 2013 and some in 2015, and if you're up for a drive, it's a great experience. Or get a carpool going! University of Virginia Several HAWKS have attended the UVA Elite Camp; there are several dates throughout the summer. Click here for more information UVA
"FARGO" is the National Freestyle/Grego Tournament in Fargo, North Dakota, from July 14-22. You must qualify for this tournament by placing in qualifying tournaments that take place in late April. After qualifying, you are invited to be a part of Team Virginia, and will travel with the Virginia team to Fargo. There is a team camp that you are required to attend before going to Fargo. You may find more information on the VAWA site.
ODU Granby School of Wrestling is offering a commuter camp at ODU in Norfolk and is for all ages. It's from June 27-29. Click on the following link for more information ODU CAMP
Penn State University Team Camp
Registration IS OPEN for our team camp, at NCAA Champions Penn State University. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to work with PSU wrestlers and staff.
Hickory's HS team and rising HS freshman may attend the Penn State Camp, dates are July 8 - 11. Transportation is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, for the first 8 wrestlers, and then if we have another 8, we can afford to rent another van.
When registering, you'll register for Team Camp I (Campers). The team code is HAWK, and the password is psuhawk17
Once you've registered for the camp, please email Linda Lightfoot at tomlightfoot@Verizon.net and let her know you need transportation. Transportation costs will be determined by our numbers.
