L.D. Bell Blue Raider Baseball

Head Coach Paul Gibson is in his 31st year at LD Bell.  He has led the Blue Raiders to District Championships in 1995, 1996, 1999, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2019 (celebrating his 500th Career win), and 2023 with additional playoff appearances in 2000, 2001, 2007, 2012, 2013 (celebrating his 400th career win), 2014, 2018, 2021, and 2022. Coach Gibson’s 2011 team set new school records finishing the season 33-11 and as a Region 1-5A Finalist.  He was named “Coach of the Year” in 1995, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2011 and 2018. A 1982 graduate of Trinity High School, Coach Gibson took honors as Co-Captain, MVP and All-District 2^nd baseman.  While at Northlake College he was voted All-Conference 2^nd baseman.  After graduating from UTA, Coach Gibson taught at Bedford Junior High before being names LD Bell Head Coach in 1993.  He has served as Regional Director for the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association for 2 years and as the Public Information Secretary for the organization for 2 years.  Coach Gibson and his wife, Cherie, are proud parents of Bryce (31) and Blake (29), and proud grandparents of Nathan (2).
