FOOTBALL AGE REQUIREMENTS

Smurfs:  5 - 7 years old - Maximum weight 85 pounds
Pe
eWee:  5 - 9 years old - Maximum weight 105 pounds
Pony:  7 - 12 years old - Maximum weight 130 pounds
Midget:  7 - 13 years old - Maximum weight 160 pounds
 
If player is 14 before 4/30, player is ineligible, without a waiver.

CHEERLEADING AGE REQUIREMENTS

Smurfs:  5-6 years old
Pee Wee:  7-8 -years old
Pony:  9-11 years old
Midget:  12-13 years old

REGISTRATION FEES

$50 per player or $100 per family (Football or Cheerleading or combination of the two)
 
** MIDGETS** HAVE RECEIVED SPONSORS FOR 2015 THAT ARE TO BE USED TOWARDS ANY CHILD'S REGISTRATION FOR THE MIDGET SQUAD.  ZERO REGISTRATION FEE!!

SCHOLARSHP PROGRAM

FOOTBALL/CHEERLEADERING HARDSHIP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 

 

Lower Dauphin Youth Football Association (LDYFA) will provide fee scholarships to help youth participate in football and cheerleading. Specifically, the scholarship program provides assistance to youth for low income families and families who have experienced sudden financial hardships.

 

To be eligible for a LDYFA football/cheerleading hardship scholarship, a child must:

 

  • Child’s family must show that they are experiencing a sudden financial hardship

  • A child’s family is considered low income

     

        AND

 

  • Make a commitment to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled practices and games

  • Parent(s) must volunteer to help for all 4 home games

 

Priority is given to eligible youth meeting one or both the criteria below:

 

  • Member of a Multi-child family

  • Living in a single parent home

 

If your child meets the above guidelines and is eligible for this program, please provide a brief email or letter detailing why your child should be considered for this scholarship. If you have any questions please contact a LDYFA board member. All scholarships requests will be reviewed at the next scheduled board meeting. The Board and the head coach or designee of the affected age level will review request. All requests are confidential and will not be discussed in public.By signing this you agree to above terms and LDYFA reserves the right to access the appropriate fees is the agreement is broken.
