Voter Registration: We with the City of Baltimore will be hosting Voter Registration on Family Day. If you have not yet registered, please come out and register to vote!


I want to wish the Northwood Baseball League a Happy 4th of July!

Two hundred thirty-two years ago, the 56 members of the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence, announcing the thirteen colonies' separation from Great Britain. The declaration stated that, all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, words that forever changed the course of history.

As we celebrate the Fourth of July with parades, marching bands, picnics, and brilliant firework displays please remember the continued efforts and accomplishments of the Northwood Baseball Family. We are always in need of new volunteers to join our family. You can also just stop by, grab a hot dog and enjoy a game!

Hello Family,

Northwood Baseball League (NBL) will hold elections for officers on August 2, 2008 (FAMILY DAY). The General Membership shall elect the following NBL officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. In order to be considered for an officer's position you must have served on the Board for at least one year.

Additionally, there will be openings for 4 (non-officer) positions on the NBL Board that adult members in good standing with the league are entitled to run for. Adult member of the League wishing to be considered for a non-officer position must have served as an active league member (i.e., manager, coach, team mom, and any other volunteer activity deemed acceptable by the Nominations Committee) for at least a period of one year.

The applications for Board Membership and Board of Directors Membership can be downloaded under the "Online Forms" menu to the left.


New Update June 14, 2008: I want to thank the Northwood Family for coming out to support the All-Star Games today. The All-Star players in all the leagues worked hard and had a great time! The results of the All-Star games will be published soon. I want to also thank the coaches, our umpires, our maintenance team and the canteen team for all of their support. It is through their commitment to Northwood Baseball that we continue to grow, to keep our history alive and be one of the best professional youth baseball leagues in the country. I am proud of Northwood Baseball and proud of the Northwood Baseball Family. Thanks so much.

New Update May 8, 2008: All: Fall Baseball is here! Fall Baseball season starts just after Labor Day and runs until the first week in November. This is another opportunity for our youth to continue enjoying the game of baseball while enhancing their skills for the spring – summer season. Those who visit our web site, please sign our guest book and tell us what you think, comments, questions etc. The guestbook is at the top of the page, below the "Last Updated". We have also added the following forms under the "Online Forms" menu: Coach and Manager Evaluation Form, NBL Manager Code of Conduct and NBL Parent Code of Conduct.

New Update April 30, 2008: Everyone, April 27 thru May 3 is National Volunteer Week. I want to thank the Northwood Baseball Volunteers. Our Volunteers keep Northwood Baseball moving! Our web site is continuing to expand. Visit our "Video" and "Photo Album" menus to the left. Our new web site is just one of many things we have planned at Northwood Baseball. Its about doing the right thing and the right thing is to provide an enjoyable, safe, learning and professional experience for our youth, parents, coaches, friends and family. Northwood Baseball is growing and its doing some great things. Please come out and continue to support your Northwood Baseball League and volunteer where you can.

New Update April 28, 2008: Northwood Baseball continues to expand as a professional, community oriented program. Northwood Baseball Coach Tony Soares(A-Dodgers) will coach our FREE baseball clinic (Pee-Wee League) for ages 3-6 at the Northwood Baseball field located at Argonne Drive and Hillen Road.

The Pee-Wee League will start Saturday May 3, 2008 and continue through July 19, 2008. Times are from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. This is an excellent opportunity to get your children involved in Northwood baseball. These events are free and there is no registration fee. We only need the support of the Northwood Baseball parents and family.

Children will need a baseball hat and baseball glove. Cleats are not necessary. As usual, please track all events, schedules etc on our calendar to the left. All upcoming games and events are at the bottom of the page.

Volunteers Needed! Parents, Family and Friends of Northwood Baseball, we are in need of a maintenance team to help maintain the fields. Please, we can not do it alone. We need your support. New Update April 25, 2008: RBI is currently having try-outs. For additional info, call coach Clayton at 410-491-8177. To continue building a professional web site for our Northwood Baseball Family, we have uploaded The Official Little League Volunteer Application under the "Handouts" menu. Also, please visit our NEW "Family Support" and "Northwood Baseball League Weather" menus to the left. Every Sunday beginning May 4, 2008, we will transfer all information for the week to the "News Archive" menu to your left. This will insure we only keep current information on the welcome page while maintaining a record of information for your review. Under the "Directions" menu, we have added a photo with labels and a web link to the Northwood Baseball Fields. You will find the web link where it says "Click for Map". Also, look for game cancellations because of weather here on the web site.

New Update April 23, 2008: Please welcome our new Web Master volunteer Josh. Josh will be maintaining and presenting our web site for the Northwood Baseball League. He is one our Northwood Baseball League parents. We always need parent / family volunteers to continue to support our community. We need volunteers to help maintain the grounds, perform administrative duties, assist in fundraising or any other area within the Northwood Baseball League. Please let your child’s coach know as soon as possible if you are interested in volunteering anywhere throughout the league.

We are currently uploading the schedules to the site. The Northwood Baseball League T-Ball schedule has been uploaded. The others will follow and all schedules will be uploaded by 9am Thursday April 24, 2008 for your review. All schedules are also available on the "Schedules" menu and the Northwood Baseball League calendar under the "Calendar" menu. The calendars are also printable. Also, please visit our new menu “Family Support”, the links we have added under the “Links” menu and upcoming games have been added at the bottom of this page. Lastly, we have also added the music of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" (Ragtime version) to our site.

New Update April 19, 2008: I want to personally thank everyone for coming out and supporting our Opening Day Festivities and games. There was our traditional parade, music, a marching band, food and the Northwood Baseball League players and coaches. Most importantly, there were the parents and other family members there to support us. For that, our Opening Day was a great success!
