Volunteer Job Descriptions

Director of Kitchen
Description of the duties:
1) Chief Coordinator of the concession stand
2) In charge of the serving the menu approved by the executive board.
3) Supervising the overall activities of the concession stand.
4) Assigning kitchen duty to parents.
5) Opening and closing of ktichen/bathrooms (along with Director of Facilities)
a. Director of Facilities will ensure bathrooms are cleaned.
6) Securing the best prices of items that will be sold in the concession stand.
7) Picking up supplies and keeping an inventory of supplies and informing the executive board of any needs.
8) Provide to the board details of what items are selling and what items are not.
9) Keep a ledger detailing income/expenses.
a. Income should be kept by day.
b. Expenses should be all receipts/payments.
10) Keep the kitchen clean and maintain this throughout the season.
11) Create a committee to assist the Director of Kitchen.
12) Submit an end-of-season report providing information and recommendations for the following season.

Director of Equipment
Description of the duties:
1) Chief coordinator of all equipment distribution and collection.
2) Maintain a current running inventory of league equipment.
3) Make sure equipment is distributed at the beginning of the season and that all equipment from all teams in collected at the end of the season.
4) Order and distribute uniforms to all teams.
5) Order equipment and distribute to teams as necessary.
6) Make sure teams are properly equipped.
7) Advise the executive board of any equipment needed.
8) Submit an end-of-season report providing information and recommendations for the following season.

Director of Fields & Grounds
Description of the duties (and the committee):
1) Chief coordinator of the fields and grounds committee.
2) Make sure the grass areas are mowed (by town, etc.).
3) Dragging the field and marking the appropriate lines.
4) Make sure there are no potholes or dangerous areas in the playing field.
5) Make sure the warning track is safe and kept up to code.
6) Make sure areas surrounding the field are kept neat and clean and free of debris.
7) Advise the executive board of any equipment or items needed to maintain the fields/grounds.
8) Submit an end-of-season report providing information and recommendations for the following season.

Director of Facilities
Description of the duties (and the committee):
1) Chief coordinator of the facilities.
2) Assist the President, Vice-President, and Safety Officer in making sure the facilities are kept safe and up to code.
3) Assign coaches to keep book, scoreboard, and pitch count.
4) Enforce rules for clubhouse set forth by the executive board.
5) Make sure all teams are aware that the upstairs level of the clubhouse is off limits to players. Only coaches are allowed upstairs.
6) Assist with opening/closing of the bathrooms.
7) Make sure bathrooms are kept clean and stocked of necessary items.
8) Work with the Player Agent on scheduling the field and batting cages for team practices.
9) Advise the executive board of any repairs needed or items needed.
10) Submit an end-of-season report providing information and recommendations for the following season.

Director of Minor League
Description of duties
1. Chief coordinator of all minor league teams
2. Attend interleague meetings and make decisions on behalf of the Wallington League Little League
3. Assist Player Agent in player development and decisions
4. Be point man for equipment and uniforms for this level (both giving out and collections)
5. Assist equipment manager on equipment needed at this level
6. Meet and speak with league coaches and inform them of interleague rules and concerns
7. Inform player agent of any concerns, problems or injuries within league
8. Assist in player placement on teams
9. Submit an end of season report providing information and suggestions for the following season.

Director of T-ball
Description of duties
1. Chief coordinator of all t-ball teams
2. Assist Player Agent in player development and decisions
3. Be point man for equipment and uniforms for this level (both giving out and collections)
4. Assist equipment manager on equipment needed at this level
5. Meet and speak with League coaches and inform them of rules and concerns
6. Inform player agent of any concerns, problems or injuries within league
7. Assist in player placement on teams
8. Submit an end of season report providing information and suggestions for the following season


Player Agent
Description of duties
1. Chief coordinator of all league related teams and functions
2. Safety Officer
3. Oversee Director of Minor and T-ball league
4. Run registrations and tryouts
5. Run new player draft and other player placement
6. Interleague meeting representative for major leagues
7. Oversee player development in all leagues and make adjustments as needed
8. Meet with major league coaches and keep them up on new rules and interleague rules
9. Run all star draft for 9 & 10 and 11 & 12
10. Create league rosters and send to Williamsport
11. Assist president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer in everyday operations
12. Head of board of directors and run meeting if problems or concerns arise during season
13. Create practice and game schedules
14. Be an all around nice guy
