We Want Your Child

to Play Football!

Youth Football is Not About Winning or Losing,

It's About Learning & Personal Development.

It's our honor & pleasure to teach the game of football to your child, and what learning the true spirit of competition will do for them academically, physically, psychologically and socially.

Our Goal

is to instill Tiger Pride in our participants:

Tradition: Commitment to excellence, teaching the spirit of determination, persistency and "hard work."

Integrity: Helping our participants to become "responsible" as they grow, learning life lessons on the field.

Growth: Coaching participants to become "responsible" as they grow, learning life lessons on the field.

Education: "Is number one," values we teach and discipline we instill will transcend to the classroom to assist in academic progress.

Respect: We welcome diversity and "treat each other as equals."

We are an approved group in the City of White Plains.

We are incorporated and filed to operate as a Non-Profit Charitable Organization and 501(c)(3), Federal Tax id#26-4753816.

The White Plains Tigers Youth Football League, Inc. was organized to provide area youth with instruction and the opportunity to participate in youth football; to encourage healthy habits and instill such values as teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and sense of fair play.

We offer the Parents & Children of the White Plains Community:

Flag Football Grades K - 2

Tackle Football Grades 3 - 8

*Grade as of school year beginning this upcoming September.

No prior playing experience necessary.

We truly believe in inclusivity, and with the City of White Plains being a stanchion of growth and opportunity in Westchester County and feel this organization will provide another viable outlet and option for participation in a football program, to contribute and hopefully transcend to academic success for all of our participants.

To that end, we feel that one of the responsibilities of a non-profit organization is to have an open door policy.

We are not solely seeking participation from one school or another or one neighborhood versus another, but feel that this should be a city-wide program offered in accordance as such, to all in the White Plains community.

The WPTYFL mirrors the intention of the City Recreation & Parks Department, that no youth be denied the ability to participate in programs because of an inability to afford such recreation.

Partial and full scholarships are available for our program to eligible White Plains families upon proof of income.

Federal Income Tax Form 1040 must accompany our scholarship applications which are based on a substantiated set of criteria mirroring the City of White Plains Recreation & Parks.

Providing a safe and supportive environment will be an emphasis and the individuals involved with our organization will be required to be certified in coaching in accordance with league rules, as well as they will be required to submit a coaching/volunteer form and a background check will be completed with close scrutiny, prior to any parental/coach involvement with a youth.

Most importantly, one clear vision that TIGERS possess is the alignment with the WPHS Football Program.

Under the direction of our program, children will then learn the fundamentals and skill base that filters into the White Plains modified program for 7th and 8th grade, then into the high school football program.

Our aim is to collaborate with the WPHS Varsity Head Coach so that our program mirrors many of the characteristics of the White Plains Tigers Football Program, so that the parents and children get a sense of consistency with regards to: league policies, practice regime and training, plays, schemes/formations, and conduct required, so that continuing to the WPHS football program would be an easy transition and ultimately, second nature.

We will compete in Westchester County and stay local so games are accessible to all of the community and your families.

Tackle Football Teams will compete in the Scarsdale Recreational Youth Football League.

Flag Football Teams will compete in a combination of interleague play as well as against teams from Westchester and Rockland County.

White Plains has over 100 Years of Football Tradition.

Come help contribute to another 100 Years.

Let Your Child Play Football & Have Fun!
