The original Bethlehem Mickey Mantle (BMM) was founded in 1987 by local Bethlehem Baseball Coach Jesse Braverman. The ORIGINAL and sole franchise holder in the Eastern New York Mickey Mantle Baseball League, Inc - ENYMM and a member of the American Amateur Baseball Congress - AABC. The program was active for 18 seasons under Coach Braverman through the end of 2004 and after a brief hiatus was revived again on the 20th anniversary of inception by a couple of dedicated baseball volunteers on November 21st, 2007.

The new Bethlehem Mickey Mantle, Inc. (BMM) - BRAVES Travel Baseball Club is a 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit, Tax Exempt, Community-based, Year-round, Competitive Travel Baseball Club that features a full complement of training, fitness, instruction, and year-round opportunities available for Players 13 to 18 yrs. old on our BRAVES Travel Baseball Teams. The BRAVES are named after Coach Jesse Braverman in honor of what he started back in 1987.
In fact, Jesse is the "Special Advisor to the BRAVES Travel Baseball Club."
Even the "B" we use on our hats is a tribute to the old Brooklyn Dodgers "B" that they wore on their hats back in the 1950's.

Our BRAVES Teams play competitive AABC travel baseball games against the area's best on our home Field #5 - the Mickey Mantle Field in the Bethlehem Elm Ave Town Park on Route # 32 in Delmar.

Our 2011 Summer Season:
The BRAVES had 4 Travel Teams during their 4th Season of operation.
CD BRAVES 13/14U AABC Sandy Koufax team, CD BRAVES 16U Travel Team, BRAVES 16U Bethlehem Mickey Mantle team, and BRAVES 18U Bethlehem Connie Mack team.

Our 13/14U CD BRAVES Team had a regular season record of 17-13, having played 30 travel games through the last day of July.
Our BRAVES 16U Bethlehem Mickey Mantle Team finished 10-10 in 7th place in the ENY Mickey Mantle Baseball League.
Our BRAVES 18U Bethlehem Connie Mack team finished 7-13 in 9th place in the ENY Connie Mack League and earned the top seed in the ENY Senior Babe Ruth 18U State Tournament on July 14th in Poughkeepsie.

Our 2010 Fall Season:
The BRAVES 18U Connie Mack team finished in 1st Place with a 10 Wins and 1 extra-innings loss, scoring 145 runs on 144 hits with just 51 runs against. The BRAVES 13/14/15 Team played 16 games this Fall and was able to have the players compete against better competition and experience playing multiple fielding positions. A valuable experience for our younger players.

Our 2010 Summer Season:
The BRAVES had 4 Travel Teams during their 3rd Season of operation.
14U Sandy Koufax, 15U Mickey Mantle, 16U Mickey Mantle, and 18U Connie Mack - all AABC Travel Teams.

Our 14U Sandy Koufax Team finished up the regular season with an 8-4 record, 2nd place in their league, and 2nd seed in the 14U AABC State Tournament on July 8th.
Our 16U Mickey Mantle Team was awarded the opportunity to compete in the ENY Senior Babe Ruth 16U State Tournament on July 20th.

Our 2009 Fall Ball Season:
Both BRAVES Fall Teams did well, ending the 8 weekend season with Winning Records. BRAVES 15U 6-3 and BRAVES 18U 5-4.

Our 2009 Summer Season:
The BRAVES had 4 Teams on the road during their 2nd Season of operation.
14U, 15U, 16U, and 17U & 18U AABC Travel Teams.
Our 17U Connie Mack Team finished up the regular season with an invite to the 2009 AABC 17U Upper NYS Tournament. Our 16U Mickey Mantle Team went on to compete in the ENY Senior Babe Ruth 16U State Tournament.

Our 2008 Fall Ball Season:
Both BRAVES Fall Teams did very well, ending the 8 weekend season with Winning Records.

BRAVES 15U Team had a .750 winning percentage, going 9 Wins and just 3 losses, scoring 135 runs while only giving up 42 runs in 12 games. Finishing in 5th place in a 38 team division.

BRAVES 18U Team had a .636 winning percentage, going 7 Wins and 4 losses in 11 games. Finishing in 4th place in a 19 team division.

During our very first Summer season in 2008, our BRAVES 15U Team went on to compete in post season play in the AABC 15U Upper NY STATE Tournament at the end of July. Playing against the best teams in the Upper New York State area, including a team from Ottawa, Canada. The winner then went on to play in the AABC World Series in Oklahoma.

Bethlehem Mickey Mantle, Inc. is the original and only 24 yr. member of the Eastern New York Mickey Mantle Baseball League - ENYMM for all of Bethlehem and Ravena, the entire Bethlehem Community. We play our home games on Field # 5 - the Mickey Mantle Field in the Bethlehem Elm Ave. Town Park on Route # 32 in Delmar, NY.

For more than 38 years, the ENY Mickey Mantle Baseball League is best known for having the top, most competitive 16 Year Old Travel Players in this AABC sanctioned league. The BRAVES 13U, 14U and 15U Travel Teams are the player development teams for our BRAVES 16U Mickey Mantle Team each year. Our BRAVES 18U Connie Mack Teams further expand our Travel Baseball program for our older players to move on to. Connie Mack is a wooden bat league, which makes the play very competitive.

The BRAVES Teams begin training each year in January, inside the Gym with our Winter Workouts & Conditioning held at the University of Albany. By mid-April, we are outside on our field to begin our pre-season training. Our regular AABC Summer Baseball Season starts around Memorial Day with the goal of making it into the post season AABC State Tournaments in July.
Our teams then take a few weeks off for the rest of the Summer and come back in September to begin our Fall Ball on weekends in September and October. A special session of Batting & Hitting Training is then scheduled in the early Winter at U-ALBANY.
The BRAVES Travel Baseball Program is Year-Round.
