BRANTS RELEASE 2009 SCHEDULE

The Burlington Brants Baseball Club today released its 2009 schedule. The Brants will once again, since 1982 play their home dates on Wednesday nights at Nelson Stadium located just north of New Street behind Nelson High School.
The Brants home opener is scheduled for May 6th when the Chiefs of Dundas make their way to Nelson Park. First pitch scheduled for 7:30 pm. The club will play 3 weekend double headers with the highlights being a road date with the Etobicoke Rangers at Connorvale park June 7th and then hosting the Oakville A's for a home double dip at Nelson June 28th.
The club looking for the best competition possible will compete in 3 tournaments outside of their COBA loop. The Brants will once again compete in the Hap Walters Memorial tournament hosted by the Metro's of St. Catherines on the July 18-20th. They will then make their way down the 401 to Windsor to take part in the 2009 Baseball Ontario Senior Elimination tournament. The third weekend competition is still pending and will be released as soon as verification is confirmed.
