Varsity Head Coach Jessica Valentine
Coach Valentine is beginning her 1st season as Catoctin Head Softball Coach. Her previous coaching experience includes, 1 year Assistant Varsity/JV Coach at Catoctin High School (2007) and 1 year Head Softball Coach at Frederick High School (2008). Coach Valentine is an Assistant Coach for the MD Heartbreakers 18U Red under the tutelage of Terry Burdette. She is also in her 2nd season as the Head Field Hockey Coach at Frederick High School in the Fall.
Coach Valentine gradauted from Mars Hill College in December of 2006 with a BS in Physical Education Teacher Education with a minor in Health and Coaching. She played on a softball scholarship for the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Conference competitors, and left her mark on the record books. She holds the career record for games played, games started, hits, doubles, RBIs, and slugging %; as well as many single season records.
She is a full time health and physical education teacher at Frederick High School.

Varsity Assistant Coach Des Harbaugh
Coach Des Harbaugh is entering her 1st season as a Varsity Assistant Coach at Catoctin High School. This will be Coach Des' 1st season coaching softball, however, she has played for many years.
Coach Des graduated from Rider University in New Jersey. She played on a softball scholarship for the NCAA Division I team.
She is a full time 3rd grade teacher at Thurmont Elementary School.

Varsity Assistant Coach Rick Wastler
Assitant Coach Rick Wastler has been coaching for the Catoctin Softball Program for many years. He has helped with the JV team in the past but is going into his 2nd season as a Varsity Assistant. Coach Wastler is also the Head JV Girl's Basketball Coach at Catoctin High School.

Varsity Assistant Coach Mike Valentine
Assistant Coach Mike Valentine will be the stat keeper and assitant coach for Coach Bruck. Mike is also the President of Boosters at Catoctin and was a part of the 2006 state championship basketball team as well. The girls look to Mike for encouragment and support.
