CBA General Rules
January 1, 2006 --
REGULAR SEASON
- Each team plays its division opponents twice, and its non-division opponents once for a total of 10 games.
PLAYOFFS
- The top three records in each division make the playoffs, the bottom team in each division is out
- The top team in each division gets a bye in the first round of the playoffs, while the 2nd and third place team in each division play one another in the first round
- The winners of those games go on to face the Division leader for divisional representation in the championship game
- Then the winner of each division goes head to head in the CBA Championship
TIE-BREAKERS
1. Head to head record
2. Division record
3. Total Score Differential in head to head match ups
4. Best record among tied opponents (for 3 or more tied teams)
5. Total Points Scored (season)
