Let The Games Begin !!!
The Tigers basketball teams have finally started their season. From the recreation teams to the tourney teams, everyone had a great showing during opening week! Of the six rec teams, we were 5-1 on opening week including a down to the wire thriller. The 5th, 6th and 8th grade tourney teams finished 1st, 1st & 2nd respectively in their first USSSA tournament.
Looks like good things to come !!!!

NATIONAL RECOGNITION!!
The tournament season has concluded with the TIGERS gaining National Recognition in the 2 tournaments they participated in. The 5th grade team finished in the Final 4 @ the All American Sports Nationals and finished as Primetime National Champions !! The 6th grade finished in the Final 4 @ All American Sports Nationals!! The 8th grade finished as the All American Sports National Champions and finished in ninth place at the Primetime Nationals!!!
We are looking forward to seeing these guys excel once again next year!!

BALLIN'
We our proud to share the news about our 9th grade boys basketball team. The Tigers won first place in their division this past weekend (June 6)at THE GREAT AMERICAN SHOOT-OUT in BRYAN/COLLEGE STATION. Our Tigers Swept through the division undefeated on their way to a Championship. This is one of the nation's top events throughout the season. GREAT JOB FELLAS and way to go Coach Derwin! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Keep believing...hard work pays off!!!

National PAW POWER 2007
Hip Hip Hooray!! for the Tigers 5th & 7th grade basketball tournament teams. They finished in the Great 8 and the Sweet 16 respectively in the USSSA National tournament held over the July 26th weekend. The Tigers showed their skills among a field of 30 in the 5th grade division and 45 in the 7th grade division.

TEAM BALL
Congratulations to our tournament teams (3rd, 5th and 7th grades) for their outstanding play over the March 10 weekend in a USSSA tournament. The Tigers were represented well as we brought home two-1st place and one-2nd place trophies. Way to go Tigers

Smaller Ballers
Hooray for the 3rd grade tourney team. They placed 2nd in the Smaller Baller tournament over the March 3rd weekend. The championship was a double overtime thriller !!! Watch out for this group as they have only begun.

Ballin'
Congratulationsto our 5th Grade tourney team as they won their division in the 2007 Black History Tournament over the Feb 10th weekend. They also had several players chosen for the All Tournament team. In addition, the 7th Grade tourney team were semifinalists (out of 16 teams) in their division. Way to Go Tigers !!

Congratulations are in order again to our 5th Grade tourney team as took 2nd place in the ATX Black History Tournament over the Feb 24th weekend. This was actually a 6th grade tourney. Our boys rose to the occasion.
