The Central Texas Youth Football League (CTYFL) originated in 1991. It was founded by Mr. Joe Martinez, who is also Director. Our league offers a great opportunity for young children in the Central Texas area, from as far south as Salado, to as far north as Marlin. Our goal is to teach our players discipline and respect for themselves and others. We know by giving them something to do with their time, we are helping to keep them off the streets.
CTYFL is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on people in our communities to volunteer their time and efforts to support our youth. It is clearly through volunteerism that this league is able to continue from season to season.
Our league is broken into two age groups. The Pee Wee division consists of 7-9 year olds and has a weight limit of 135 pounds. The Junior division consists of 10-12 year olds and has a weight limit of 165 pounds.
Our league also has two different divisions. The 5A division includes Temple and Belton . The 2A division includes Academy, Holland, Moody, Rogers, Rosebud-Lott, Salado, and Troy.
For the players league fee, we provide shoulder pads, helmets, jerseys, officials, concessions, and well-maintained fields in which to play their games on.
We hope that each child has a positive experience playing in the CTYFL.
