Coach Summary of SF Tournament
May 27, 2008 --
Thanks to everyone for making this weekend successful. Not only was I impressed with the good soccer on very difficult fields, but more importantly was delighted with the level of respect shown by players and parents towards one another, including myself and Mark. I learned alot about the players and the team this weekend and I hope the players got a good feel for me in terms of expectations coaching style etc. As we discussed our area for focus between now and regional's will be conditioning and crossing/finishing.
I also mentioned to the girls that I would like them to come out to DY this sat, from 12-2pm for a U16/U17/U18 7'a side tournament that Mark and I will set up. We will mix the teams play some music and have some fun. This will be a good way for the players to interact with other girls in the club. The U18 parents are having bbq and drinks. If any parents from our team want to come out then perhaps we can do something similar. Again a good chance for people to get to know others in the club.
Once again I appreciate everyone's support communication and overall efforts. Special thanks to Mark for coming out and helping us.
