The Queen of Angels team improved their season's record to 5-0-1 after this weekend's games.
Player of the week May 4 & 5 2013
May 5, 2013
Nate Lisanti
Nate is the goalie for Aquinas Academy. He has made several key saves all season, including a penalty shot save against St John. If he does not make the save the score would be 4-3 and who knows how it would end. With the save, Aquinas won 5-2.
Brandan Miller
Brandan is the center forward for Aquinas Academy. He scored a hat -trick in a 5-2 win over St John and all four goals in a 4-1 win over St Mary helping Aquinas improve to 4-2 on the season.

October 24, 2010
I would like to nominate Jonathan Lynch as player of the week for his
superior goalkeeping effort against St. Bernadette and St. Maurice over
the weekend. He made several key saves in a 1-0 win over St. Bernadette
to keep the shutout and secure the win. His phenomenal goalkeeping
against St. Maurice made sure his Aquinas Academy team still has a
chance at making the playoffs as his team won 3-1. He gave up a late
goal after his team scored three but without his fine play throughout
the game his team would have been in trouble. Congratulations Jonathan!
Player of the Week - Oct. 25 & 26, 2008
October 25, 2008
I would like to nominate Matt Lang from Aquinas as player of the week. He has played goalie in most games this year but as a field player in today's game he scored 5 and assisted on one as Aquinas beat Alpha 6-2.

strong performance in goal against Madonna and his point blank save in
the first half allowed the Crusaders to walk away with a tie instead of
a loss.

His solid performance up front and his two goals against Madonna helped
boost the Crusaders to a 3-0 victory and a winning season.

I would like to nominate the entire Aquinas Academy varsity soccer team as the "players of the week" for their outstanding performance all season, especially in their games May 20th and May 21st. They finished their undefeated season with 7 wins and one tie. They have come together as a team and have outplayed their opponents by outscoring them 29-6 and finishing with five shutouts. Congratulations team on a great regular season.
Player of the week May 6 & 7, 2004
May 8, 2006
I would also like to nominate Chuck Dolan from Aquinas Academy as player of the week for the varsity team. Chuck made several key saves, several on break aways, to ensure that Aquinas Academy remained undefeated through five games. Without his solid performance in net, the outcome of the game would have been quite different as Aquinas scored only one goal to win 1-0.

Aquinas Academy for his three goals against St. Bonaventure lifting

Under extremely difficult weather and field conditions Michael helped to keep his teammates motivated and focused with his aggressiveness and good sportsmanship on the field.
Player of the Week for October 23 & 24
October 29, 2004
This weeks "Player of the Week" is Matt Marasco from St. Elizabeth. Matt's the team leader and captain for the St. Elizabeth varsity soccer team. He led the team back from a 0-1 deficit at halftime, on Saturday 10/23 vs. St. Sylvester’s, to spearhead a victory for St. Elizabeth, by scoring 3 goals in the second half. He also displayed the highest level of sportsmanship, as he always does, by walking away from would could have been an unpleasant situation.
His consistent team focus, character, and lack of a “me first” attitude make him deserving of this award. He is the heart and soul of the St. Elizabeth varsity soccer team.
Player of the week for October 9 & 10, 2004
October 19, 2004
This weeks "Player of the Week" is Gage Virgi from Holy Trinity. Gage plays many different positions on the field and always has a positive attitude. He always gives 100% during the games and is very respectful of his teammates and coaches. Congratulations Gage!

April 22, 2007
Player of the week:
I would like to recognize Teddy Larkin as player of the week for the
varsity Aquinas Academy soccer team. In his first game back after
injury Teddy scored a hat trick in Aquinas Academy's win over St.
Bonaventure on Saturday. The next day he scored an insurance goal to
guarantee the game stayed out of reach in Aquinas Academy's win over Mt
Galitzin. This improves the team's record to 2-1.
I would also like to recognize Sean Allen for his two goals in Aquinas
Academy's JV win against St. Bonaventure on Saturday and for his
superior performance in goal against Mt. Galitzin. Sean made some great
saves in goal despite Aquinas losing to Mt Galitzin 3-0. The score
could have been worse if it were not for his outstanding play.
