The Lakehead Express U18G defeated the Grandview Dental Impact 2-1 in the EWSL final game to give the U18 Girls the Championship. Alyssa Johnston and Haley Mrakic scored to lead their team to victory. Nikki Arapov scored for the Impact.

Haleigh Robertson is this year's Indoor Season League MVP as voted by the league team coaches.

Mel Parenteau is this year's Indoor Season Top Keeper with 16 wins, 12 Shutouts in 19 games played.

Breanne Pasqualino is this years Indoor Season Top Scorer with 19 goals.

KHM Impact are this years outdoor regular season champions with a 10-0 record.

Haleigh Robertson was voted by the League Coaches as this year's League MVP.

Melissa was vote by the League Coaches as the League's Top Keeper. Mel had 11 wins, 10 shutouts in 21 games.

Jessisa was the this years Top Scorer with 50 regualr season goals and she also added 3 more in the playoffs.

The Lakehead Express U18G won the first Elite Women's Indoor Soccer League Championship with a 2-0 win over the Thunder Bay Chill Female Reserves. The U18G open the scoring 7 minutes into game when Jessica Mithrush chested down a ball and stepped around the Chill defender and scored with a low shot in the far corner beating the Chill Keeper. The play in the rest of the half was back and forth with the U18G having slight advantage. In the second half the U18G scored early, 3 minutes into the half when a high kick bounced over the Chill defender and Mithrush ran onto the ball scored with hard short beating the Chill Keeper on the right side. The U18G play defensively the rest of the half shutting down any chances the Chill had in scoring and went on to win the Indoor Championship.

Lakehead Express U18G are the first EWSL Indoor Regular Season Champions. The U18G had 16-1-4 record during the regular season.

With the approval from Soccer Northwest Ontario (SNO) last night the Elite Women's Soccer League (EWSL) will be operating this fall and winter their first indoor soccer league. The league will be a Indoor Soccer League for competitive soccer in the District. The league will be comprised of eight teams from four different Soccer Clubs based in Thunder Bay plus a team from each Lakehead University and Confederation College. The four clubs are the Lakehead Express Soccer Club, Thunder Bay Chill Soccer Club, Thunder Impact Soccer Club and the Thunder Bay Women's Soccer Club. The EWSL will play a 21 game schedule with its first game October 4th of this year and the playoffs wrapping up at the end of March 2011.

The Lakehead Express U19G beat the Thunder Bay Impact 2-0 to win the first Elite Women's Soccer League Championship on Sunday. The scorers for the U19s were Jessica Mithrush and Amanda Mithrush.

The Lakehead Express U19G went 12-0 including regular season and playoffs.

The game was scoreless after the first half with the U19s having more of the play. Amanda Mithrush opened the scoring in the 70th minute when she ran onto a through ball by Jessica Mithrush, which sent her in all alone on the Impact keeper and she made a perfect strike from the top of the 18-yard box to score the goal. In the 88th minute, Amanda return the favour to Jessica by giving a great pass on the right side, which she turn towards the goal and hit a shot that beat the Impact keeper just inside the left post.
