Tryout for the Basketball City Hoopers

Location of ALL Tryouts:
All tryouts and practices will be held at Basketball City which is the home facility for the Hoopers. Basketball City-16400 Eastland Dr., Roseville, MI 48066(1 block north of 12 Mile Rd/East of Groesbeck)
Obtaining AAU Card:
Log on to www.aausports.org and then click on the “Join AAU” tab to the right. Click on the tab “Purchase Athlete Membership” and this will take you to the registration page. It will gather basic information about your child. You will have to provide a Club Name-Basketball City Hoopers and a Club Code- MIBABX9KB0. The cost of the card is $14 and is good trough August 2010. When you have completed your registration please be prepared to print your card or save it as a file. They will not send you one in the mail. Please bring your AAU insurance card to tryouts.
Tryout Process & Facts:
Pre-registration is not offered. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tryout time to register. Please bring a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate and AAU card. A Player Information sheet and waiver can be completed at the time of registration.
Please arrive early so your child has the opportunity to be dressed, stretch and warm-up before the tryout process begins. Please understand that for some players the process can be a bit overwhelming and having them there early will only help.
Cost of the trout process is $25. There are usually 2-5 tryouts per season for each age group for each season. Players are only required to attend one tryout but the more you come the more you will be noticed.
Age Verification/Qualifiers:
September 1, 2010 shall be the determining date for the age of the competitor and shall hold true for Friendship Tournaments, Leagues, Super Regional, District and National Championships.

Tryouts:
Wednesday November 4th , November 11th & November 18th - 7:00-8:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Additional Saturday Dates: November 21st & November 28th 10:00am to 11:15am.
Season/Cost:
The season will go from September November 30th – February 28th. Each team will be provided with a highly qualified paid coach, have unlimited access to our home facility, practice twice a week and compete in monthly AAU Friendship Tournaments. Cost-$494.00
2010 Boys Winter Season January 4th to March 27th:
Boys 8U/9U/10U/11U/12U
Tryouts:
Boy’s 8/9/10U: Wednesday December 2nd, December 9th & December 16th 7:00-8:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Boy’s 11/12U: Thursday December 3rd, December 10th & December 17th 6:00 to 7:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Additional Saturday Dates: December 5th & December 12th. Boy’s 8/9/10U-10:00am to 11:00am-Boy’s 11/12U 11:00am to Noon
Season/Cost:

Boy’s 11/12/13/14U: Thursday February 25th , March 4th , March 11th & March 18th - 6:00 to 7:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Additional Saturday Dates: March 20th - Boy’s 11/12/13/14U 10:00am to 11:00am/ Girl’s 11/12/13U 11:00am to Noon
Season/Cost:
The season will go from March 22nd – June 6th. Each team will be provided with a highly qualified paid coach, have unlimited access to our home facility, practice twice a week,, compete in monthly AAU Friendship Tournaments and play in the Detroit Spring League. Cost-$494.00
2010 Spring Season April 12th to June 6th:
Boys 15U/16U/17U & Girls 14U/15U
Tryouts:
Girl’s 14/15U: Wednesday March 24th & March 31st 6:00-7:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Boy’s 15/16/17U: Tuesday March 30th & Tuesday April 6th -6:00 to 7:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Additional Sunday Dates: (Girls Only)March 21st , March 28th & April 11th . Boy’s 15/16/17U 10:00am to 11:00am/ Girl’s 14/15U 11:00am to Noon

The season will go from April 12th – June 6th. Each team will be provided with a highly qualified paid coach, have unlimited access to our home facility, practice twice a week,, compete in monthly AAU Friendship Tournaments and play in the Detroit Spring League. Cost-$494.00
2010 Summer Season June 21st to August 10th:
Boys 12U/13U/14U/15U & Girls 12U/13U/14U/15U
Tryouts:
Girl’s 12/13/14/15U: Wednesday June 2nd, June 9th & June 16th 7:00-8:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Boy’s 11/12/13/14U: Thursday June 3rd, June 10th & June 17th 7:00 to 8:15pm. Cost is $25 and includes all dates.
Additional Saturday Date: June 19th. Boy’s 11/12/13/14U 10:00am to 11:00am/ Girl’s 12/13/14/15U 11:00am to Noon
Season/Cost:
The season will go from June 21st – August 10th . The teams will practice once a week, play one AAU Friendship Tournament (TBA) and play in the Detroit Summer League at Grosse Pointe North High School. Cost-$200.00
