    History of Nike Impact U.S.A.
    The Nike Impact U.S.A was founded by Directors of Coaching Jon Schneider (girls) and Norman Wishart (boys) in January 2001 with the goals of providing:

    *Exposure to the most professional, experienced coaches available;
    *A cohesive program of player development for players wishing to compete at the highest   levels;
    *Special programs to enhance training, skills and fitness;
    *The most competitive teams possible in each age group;
    *A positive, family atmosphere;
    *Support, guidance, exposure and preparation for players wishing to play college soccer.


    STATEWIDE CONCEPT DEVELOPED 2004

    In July 2004, Impact has partnered with Laban DeFriese to create  Impact - (Central), based in Williamson County and Middle TN, with the purpose of creating a true elite statewide organization.

    Laban DeFriese will be the Director of Coaching for Impact - (Central). This is an exciting partnership that will double the opportunities for all Impact players.

    '87 Impact--State Champions 2001

    That first winter of 2001, Derek Greene, then the head women's coach at Carson-Newman College, formed the '87 Lady Impact. Under Greene's guidance, that team won the Impact's first state championship, defeating the '87 Germantown Fury 2-0 in the U-14 girls' final. (Greene is now an assistant coach at Ole Miss.)

    '89 Impact-State Champions 2002

    In May of 2002, the '89 Lady Impact, coached by Hans Hobson, became the Impact's second state champion, defeating arch-rival Franklin TNFC Premier in the U-13 girls' final.

    '86 Impact-State Champions 2002

    In June, the '86 Impact, coached by Jon Schneider, notched the club's third state title, defeating Premier Soccer Academy of Chattanooga in the boys' U-16 final.

    '90 Impact-State Champions 2003

    In May of 2003, the '90 Lady Impact, coached by Jon Schneider, became the Impact U.S.A.'s fourth state champion, defeating the Stones River Arsenal 2-0 in the girls' U-13 final.

    In June, the '86 Impact, coached by Jon Schneider, a repeat performance brought home the Impact's fifth title, as they won the boys' U-17 final. By 2003, the  Impact had grown to a full complement of 20 teams, not including a flourishing recreation program. Summer 2003 marked the creation of the U9/U10 Soccer Academy.

    In line with the national trend toward smaller sided games for younger players, the Impact launched a program to train larger groups of younger boys and girls.

    Impact '92 Premier

    Impact '92 Premier, coached by Jon Schnieder, won the 2005 state championship in June.  Also, the team won the prestigious Atlanta Cup in September 2005. These accomplishments earned them a top 10 national ranking.

    ODP: 

    In Impact's third yeark, the club contributed 18 players to the state ODP programs, including seven from the '89 Impact and four from the '90Impact. All seven from the '89 Impact were chosen to participate in the ODP Regional Camp, and Melissa Morris became the first Impact player selected to the Region III Team Pool, with Laurel Shute receiving honorable mention.
