Parent/Family Expectations
As a swim team parent/guardian, you are asked to help with the following:
1. Encourage your swimmer to attend swim practices
2. Volunteer to help 10 times (per family) with concessions, timing, etc. - up to 20 hours of volunteer time.
3. Assist team parents and coaches to supervise and locate your swimmer for their swim events.
Parents are responsible for getting their children to practice and transporting them to the away meets. If you child is not able to make it to a swim meet, please notify the coach at least two days before the schedule meet. The coach needs this advance notice in order to prepare events cards, relays, etc.
Every swimming family has a swim team folder. Please check it often for updates, news, and ribbons. Any communication that needs to be given to the parents will either be by email or in the swim team folder. OUR PRIMARY FORM OF COMMUNICATION WILL BE VIA EMAIL, SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL DAILY DURING SWIM SEASON.
Parents are responsible to fulfill all volunteer obligations and finding your own replacement if you have a scheduling conflict.
