    Club Constitution
    July 1, 2004  --   This is the constitution of
    Lucky Frog Triathlon Club
    It defines the purpose and the relationship between the membership, officers and board of directors.

    Article I Club Purpose

    The Triathlon Club of Mt. Airy is an organized club dedicated to the pursuit of triathlon and Duathlons, general physical fitness, and the representation of the sport of triathlon and Duathlons within the community.

    Article II Club Name

    Lucky Frog Triathlon Club

    Article III Club Membership
    Membership shall be open to any individual who shares the common purpose of the Triathlon Club of Mt. Airy. Membership shall be granted without discrimination upon basis of race, creed, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, and physical or mental handicap.

    Article IV Club Officers & Board of Directors
    Elections for officers will follow article VII and terms of office are from January 1 through December 31st of the calendar year.

    President - Presides over meetings, can appoint club members to fill Board Vacancies.

    Vice-President - Responsible for guest speakers at club meetings.

    Registrar - Responsible for keeping accurate minutes at meetings. Keeps current roster of all members. Responsible for the club newsletter.

    Treasurer - Collects club dues, pays club debt, and accounts of the clubs finances with a monthly report.

    Board of Directors - Participates in executive committee meetings and votes on clubs policies. There shall be three such members of the board. There shall also be an alternate member of the board who shall serve when other members of the board are not available.

    Article V Executive Committee:
    The executive committee consists of the club officers and members of the board of Directors. The executive committee meetings shall be held at times dictated by the following procedures:
    1. the president may call meetings.
    2. Any seven current club members who petition the Executive committee in writing may call special meetings.
    3. Any 2 board members may call meetings of the board.
    All executive committee meetings are open to the membership.
    The executive committee can appoint committees as needed for club business or activates.
    There must be four executive committee members present to have a quorum.

    Article VI Club Meetings:
    Club Meetings shall be held on the 1st Wednesday of Each Month. 7:30 PM @ The Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company.

    Article VII Club Elections :
    A proposed sate of officers and Board members will be presented to the membership at the January meeting, nominations will also be taken from the floor. All nominated candidates will be voted on by those present at this meeting.

    Article VIII Amendments to the Constitution:
    Amendments shall be approved by 60% of the club membership either in person or by proxy.

    Article IX Treasury :
    The president shall be able to commit the club to expenditures totaling $50 or less. Expenses from $51 to $150 need approval of two executive committee members. Commitments to expenditures over $150 shall be approved by a majority of the executive committee or be approved by a majority of the membership present at a regularly scheduled club meeting.

    Article X Dues:
    Dues Shall Be USD $40.00 (forty dollars) per year for Adults over 16 (sixteen) years of age & USD $ 5.00 (five dollars) For A Junior Membership 16 (sixteen) years of age & younger.
