Tuesday August 4th 5:30 - 8:00PM - Dred Scott Fields Bloomington
Thursday August 4th 5:30 - 8:00PM - Dred Scott Fields Bloomington
Sunday August 9th 3:30 - 6:00PM - Pearl Park Fields Minneapolis
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The tryouts are conducted more like clinics than traditional tryouts. In the past, many players who didn't make the team have said they were still glad they attended because the tryouts helped them improve their game.
There is no charge to attend a Sting 94 tryout.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO TRYOUT:
To play for Sting 94, you must have been born in 1994. Tryout information for other Sting teams can be found on their websites as the information becomes available.
WHO SHOULD TRYOUT:
If you are an elite fastpitch player OR if you have the desire and potential to become one, you should try out for the Sting. Sting 94 believes that there's much more to being an elite player than just knowledge and skills on the field. A player's attitude, work ethic, leadership, teamwork, and ability and willingness to learn are also very important factors in determining who will make the team.
Playing for Sting 94 requires a high level of dedication. The girls practice and play all year-round. The summer schedule can be very intense with out-of-state travel and numerous in-state tournaments, games and practices. Though the fall and winter months are less demanding, there are still games, practices, and clinics at indoor facilities throughout the "off-season".
