November 19, 2008  --
Jr. PeeWees fall to the Gould Red Rams in Sunshine Classic in Orlando. Our Jr. PeeWees played hard and had the experience of a lifetime playing in the Sunshine Classic for the first time.

Bowl Games, November 01, 2008
Mitey Mites stage final minute comeback and Bowl Victory defeating the very tough Palm Beach Shamrocks 32-30 completing the first PERFECT SEASON in the Parkland Rangers brief history finshing an impressive 9-0. The hard hitting Palm Beach Shamrocks came out strong scoring first and often. They lead early 6-18 and at the half 12-24. The Rangers fought very hard to keep the game within reach.  The Rangers came out strong in the second half closing the score to 24-18, but a tiemly kick-off return for touchdown by the Shamrocks pushed the lead back to 12 with the score at 18-30. Late in the third quarter, the Shamrocks broke loose up the middle for what looked like a touchdown when Patrick Cullin made what might have proven to be a game saving tackle from behind at the Ranger's 15 yard line. The Rangers then kept the Shamrocks out of the endzone thus keeping the deficit at 12 and the game within reach. With just over 5-minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and the Rangers still trailing by 12 at 18-30, Riley Alison decided he was not going to let the Rangers season end in defeat. Riley ran left, right and through the middle of the Shamrocks defense breaking tackles and carrying defenders for large chucks of valuable yards. Corey Catz, Max Miednik and Chris Stefans also added key runs on the drive and the offensive line dominated the line of scrimmage as the Rangers steadily marched down the field scoring a critical touchdown with just over 2-minutes to play. With the first sucessful extra point of the game, the Rangers closed the deficit to 5 points at 25-30. The ensuing kick-off was recovered by the Rangers who now had the ball at mid field with 2-minutes to play and two timeouts. The Rangers steadily moved the ball down field until stalling at the Shamrocks 15 yard line. With 17 seconds to play and a critical third down at the Shamrocks 15, Coach Sean Monaco called for a reverse option pass where Quarterback Max Miednik lined up in the right flanker spot, reversed field taking the handoff in the backfield, rolled out to the left before throwing to Corey Catz who was running an 18 yard down and out...TOUCHDOWN! The play was executed to perfection and with the added extra point, the Rangers held their first lead of the game at 32-30 with 15 seconds to play. After the ensuing kick-off, the Rangers intercepted a shamrock's deep pass down the middle to preserve the victory and the Parkland Rangers Mitey Mites PERFECT 9-0 SEASON! CONGRATULATIONS MITEY MITES ON A JOB WELL DONE!!!!!! PeeWees defeat the Palm Beach Shamrocks in their Bowl game to finish the season 5-4. CONGRATULATIONS PEEWEES!. Mitey Mites Complete Their quest for a PERFECT SEASON by defeating the Jupiter Black Mustangs 45-34.

The Rangers took the first blow when Jupiter rumbled 55 yards for a touchdown on the games opening play from scrimmage. The Rangers came right back with a great drive of their own, but missed the point after conversion and trailed 8-6. The two teams traded scores, but the Rangers closed the half with a quick 5-play touchdown drive to lead the Mustangs 25-20 at the intermission.

The teams once again traded touchdowns and the Rangers lead 34-26 at the end of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Parkland Rangers Mitey Mites flexed their muscles scoring two touchdowns while holding the Mustangs at bay to push the lead to an insurmountable 45-26. Jupiter scored a late touchdown with 35 seconds to play bringing us to the final 45-34 score.

Mitey Mites keep rolling with a big 40-8 win over the Palm Beach Gardens Orange Gators!

Max added two kicked PATs to round out the scoring.  Luke, straying from his standard role as offensive center and right defensive end, took over early in the second quarter as quarterback and running back taking several direct snaps leading to his first touchdown of the year.
