Girls Basketball Development Groups
The Club has a very active youth programmes which allows girls from 9 to 17 year old to develop and enjoy playing basketball at their desired level.
The club offers the following:
- Basic Fundamental Coaching
- In-House Mini Leagues
- Local Competitive opportunities at Under 14, 16 & 18 level
- National League at Under 16
Practice Sessions
Mondays at Boroughmuir High School, Viewforth
6.30pm to 8.00pm - Fundamental coaching 9 to 13yrs
6.30pm to 8.00pm - Under 14 team practice
8.00pm to 9.30pm - Under 16 team practice
8.00pm to 9.30pm - Under 18 team practice
Tuesdays at Drummond High
6.00pm to 7.45pm - Under 18 team practice
Thursdays at Drummond High School
6.00pm to 7.45pm - National League Cadettes practice
Competitive Teams
Under 14:
Playing at Portobello HS on Saturdays from November to April
Under 16 & 18:
Playing at Meadowbank Sports Centre from mid October to April every alternate Sunday
National League Under 16
Home games at WHEC on Saturdays 2.45pm
Away games throughout Scoland
Membership Costs for season 2007/8
For non competitive/development players the cost is £1.50 per session
For players selected to play in league teams the fees are:
National League Under 16's: £120
Includes player Registration, league entry, referees fees, transport, training and equipment
Local League Under 16 & 18: £60
This includes registration, league entry & referee fees, training sessions and club t-shirt.
Under 14: £50
This includes player registration, league entry & referee fees, training sessions and club t-shirt.
Additional club t-shirts an be purchased for £7 each.
