What the Amatuer Athletic Union Says About Junior Baseball of Oregon
    Pacific Coast Baseball
    Junior Baseball of Oregon

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Junior Baseball of Oregon Inc. (JBO) is one of the three largest independent Baseball organizations in the United States, with over 5,000 players and coaches. In April JBO hosts one of the largest coaches / tournament meetings in the Pacific Northwest. Over 500 coaches attend to choose from over 160 tournaments encompassing three divisions:

Federal Division - The most advanced. These are advanced All Star players with experience in lead offs, holding runners etc. They play on one team against other teams their ability level.
American Division - These players would be the equivalent to most Little League All star teams. Several players might have the skills of a federal but lack the experience of High School rules Baseball, while others might not possess the strength and athleticism of a federal player; however, we all know that could change any time for these adolescents.
National Division - This is a division for recreation Baseball players or those brand new to the sport. There are many teams in this division as well.
NOTE: League play is held only on week days because of the teams desire to play tournaments on the weekend. Each division has their own District and State Tournament. In other words every player is an all star in their division with the opportunity to play in the District and state tournament. This model does not exclude 85% of the players which occurs in all "no leads" baseball groups.

To learn more and get involved in 2006 / 2007 fall leagues, and beyond with the most prominent Baseball program in the Pacific Northwest, simply email your questions to Mike Heyer at . You will be contacted by Mike or a JBO representative.

AAU Baseball Commissioners and Directors from Oregon to Florida are aware of this impressive baseball model, and for that reason as your Commissioner of Baseball for all Districts West of the Mississippi I will be proactive in promoting the JBO model to teams throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Go to the JBO website for more information.
