2009 In-House Mighty Mites
Equipment Distribution will be held Monday, August 17 @ 6 pm at the Germantown Community Center. The first practice is tentatively scheduled for Aug 19 at 6 pm at the Center.
The GFA will again sponsor In-House football continuing with the 2009 season, it will be for players ages 5&6 only (can not turn 7 during the calendar year). The first three seasons have been a huge success and we look forward to year four. We fielded 4 teams in our our past3 seasons and anticipate at least 4 during the 2009 campaign. If registration numbers are high enough, we'll field 6 teams in 2009. The main goal is to introduce our youngest players to the basic fundamentals of football without the rigorous schedule of our CBL travel teams. Since this is truly an introductory level, scores and records are not kept.
All games will be played in Germantown on Thursday evenings at 6 or 6:30 pm at the Ridge Road Sports Complex (Rt 355 and Rt. 27) Practice will begin on August 19 and will be held 2-3 times per week before school begins and 1-2 times per week after school begins. Games will start on September 17 and run thru October 22 or 29. Maximum number of players on each team will be 20, limiting the total number of players at this level to 120.
