Bob Urban Scholarship

Bob Urban’s love of soccer was unyielding and contagious. He embodied the true values of soccer: hard work, dedication and team work. Beyond those soccer related characteristics, Bob Urban was truly a special person; he was kind and generous, but tenacious when necessary.
The Nether Providence Soccer Club is offering a $500 scholarship for one senior boy and girl who demonstrates a similar love of the game along with analogous traits demonstrated by Bob Urban. Kindly provide a minimum of 250 word essay to Vince de Berardinis via e-mail (vcfd@comcast.net) by October 7, 2011 as to why you are deserving of this scholarship. No entries will be accepted after midnight of that night. Moreover, if we receive no essays, no scholarship will be awarded.
The scholarship committee is made up by the president, vice president, boys and girls travel commissioners, and the intramural vice president. Monica Chrysatomum also serves on this committee. The recipients will be announced at the soccer banquet.
