South Hanover Youth Football Association Incorporated was founded August 2005 in South Hanover Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
In December of 2006 SHYFA became an officially recognized Pennsylvania Department of State Domestic Nonprofit Corporation.
In February 2007 SHYFA became a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Organization with the Internal Revenue Service as a member of American Youth Football Inc.
SHYFA adheres to all regulations and guidelines of a Nonprofit Organization under Bureau of Corporation and State Statue 7102b and the Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3).
All administrative and coaching positions within the association are held by volunteers. Participation in SHYFA is open to all youth ages 6 through 14 who are residents of Dauphin County; however we serve primarily the Lower Dauphin School District.
