Tom has been coaching fastpitch for 18 years. He started his coaching career with the Tartan summer program where he later became President. He was the Tartan High School head coach for eight years from 1999-2006. He joined North St. Paul in 2007 as an assistant with Sean Hall and won the 2007 State Championship. Tom has coached in 3 High School All-Star series as well as the Head Coach for the 2005 Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa high school softball challenge. He was the assistant coach with the 2006 Minnesota Sting 18U team that won the MSF State tournament and finished in the top 25 at the 2006 ASA National Tournament. The following year Tom's Sting '91 tean won the MSF State tournament and finished 17th at the ASA 16U nationals. This past fall, Tom's North St. Paul 12U/A-team won the MMFL State Tournament. Tom is currently the assistant coach at North St. Paul with Sean Hall.

Meggan Staton

Meggan was a three-time all-state fast pitch player from Anoka, MN. She pitched and played first base in college (South Dakota State University; St. Cloud State University) setting numerous records in her career. Staton is a current head coach at a local high school and was the assistant coach for the 3A State High School League Championship team in 2007. She has coached softball at various youth and young adult levels. Last summer (2007) her team, Sting ’91 placed 14th out of 144 teams at ASA nationals in Sioux Falls, SD. Meggan is a specialty coach in pitching, hitting, along with motivation, mental preparation and preparing athletes for college. Other areas include: basic and advanced fielding, throwing and conditioning. Meggan plans, organizes and scripts specialty clinics. Meggan is a graduate of St. Cloud State University and has a Bachelors of Science in Recreation and Sports Management with emphasis on Coaching and Marketing.
