
Biopitch 10th Annual Transitional Pitching/Throwing Program™
ATTENTION 10-13YR.OLD PITCHERS, CATCHERS AND ALL POSITION PLAYERS!!!
This camp is designed to meet the needs of 9 to 14 year old pitchers and position players that will be moving up to 50/70 or 60/90 in the fall ’13 or spring ’14. The camp will meet 3x a week for an hour each session for 18 sessions from July 15 through August 23.
Biopitch’s one of a kind pitcher training methodologies and curriculum are based on current scientific and medical research performed by The American Sports Medicine Institute, National Pitching Association, Cressey Performance, and BiokineticsMotion Analysis Labs of NJ. Licensed Physical Therapists will be present during this program to perform an examination/screen on each of the athletes to determine specific physical needs of the individual.
Topics to be covered include:
●Dispelling conventional wisdoms about pitching!!!
●Understanding how the body works to throw a baseball (kinetic chain sequencing)
●Functional fitness screening and assessments
●Videotaped Biomechanical Analysis of the pitching delivery
(2) with a written review and prescription plan
●Biomechanical drills for skill mastery
●Flat ground and mound throwing protocols
●Hip/shoulder separation and its relevance to velocity
●Different pitches and how to safely throw them
●Rest, Recovery, and Pitch Counts
