FEES
1) All team members must be Uniontown YMCA members. 2) An additional swim team fee must be paid to the YMCA to cover the costs of coaches, league fees and other costs. This fee varies with the number of participants and the season, with the winter season fee being higher due to the longer season. 3) An additional fee may be required to be paid to the parents group by those who choose not to help with fundraising activities.
PARENT PARTICIPATION
As with any activity involving our children, the teams success is dependent upon the involvement of all parents or guardians. Parent responsibilities include working at home events in such capacities as starters, scorekeepers, timers, stroke judges, finish judges, concessions, etc. Some of these positions may require completion of short training courses to receive certifications.
The parents group is also responsible for the raising of funds for such things as bus transportation, end of season awards and events, coaches travel costs, ribbons for meets, etc. Funds to cover these costs are raised through our annual summer invitational and other fundraising activities. All parents are required to assist with these activities or pay the parents group a fee equivalent to their share of needed funds.
