WINFIELD WOLVES TRAVEL BASEBALL
The Winfield Wolves are a traveling baseball program of the Winfield In Action (WIA) Youth Sports Association. This program is geared towards players who are seeking a higher level of competition and who are willing to make a substantial commitment to playing baseball. Players are selected based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, level of performance, attitude, and travel managers prerogative. Tryouts are a major factor in the selection process.
The Mission of the Winfield Wolves Travel Baseball Program is to provide opportunities for the more competitive ballplayer. Our travel program strives to provide a higher level of coaching and training that will assist in the development of a more skilled ballplayer.
The Wolves play an aggressive schedule (approx. 40-70 games, depending on the age of the player) competing with other community traveling teams and in local and (possibly) out of state tournaments. In addition to games, players will learn to compete during practices throughout the fall and winter months with continued practices throughout the season. There is a registration fee charged to each player to help cover the costs associated with this program. We are proud of the fact that we can keep our registration costs minimal due to the volunteer participation of parents and family members who help with fundraising efforts and concession duties. Sponsors also play a very important role in assisting with our travel program.
