Ben Martino - St. Bede

Ben Martino was involved in a motor vehicle accident on his way to the game in the rain on Saturday. Regardless of this pregame adversity, he showed up to play. As goalkeeper, Ben made numerous saves in increasingly slippery and wet conditions. Despite his efforts, his team was still down 3-0 at the half.

In the second half of the game, Ben's goal was impenetrable. His puddle diving goal tending and big punts allowed St. Bede to eventually tie St. Ursula. He preserved the tie in the final seconds of the game with one last remarkable pounce on the ball. After the game, Ben's primary concern was that the goalie shirt be washed before the next match.

Dominic Samangy - St. John (Monaca)

Dom had 4 goals and 1 assist Friday night in a 6-2 win versus Alpha. On Saturday he had 2 more goals and a assist in a 3-1 win versus OLMBSS leading St John of Monaca toa 4-0 record this fall.
