The 3rd grade will participate in the Nassau County PAL League. The boys play each Sunday in the spring against other towns in Nassau County. Approximately half the eight games will be at home at St. Paul’s and half will be at the town of the opponent such as Manhasset, Cold Spring Harbor, Massapequa, Wantagh, etc. There generally will be one or two practices during the week.
Prior to the season, indoor winter training sessions and clinics will also be made available to those looking for more lacrosse.
For the summer, additional tournaments and round robins at St. Paul’s will be offered separately to all boys interested in more lacrosse through the committed team program. Past tournaments have included The Jay Gallagher Memorial tournament and the Jimmy McGrath Memorial both hosted at St. Paul’s in Garden City.
NOTE: 3rd graders interested in the competitive committed team program for the winter training, spring 2017 (4th Grade) and summer 2017, should be prepared for try outs following the season in mid-July.
The evaluators for the try outs will be asked to select players with the complementary skill sets required to form a competitive team in all aspects of the game.
