Listed below is the Board Member schedule for the current season.  If you cannot do your board duty, it is up to you to arrange to have your day covered by another board member.  You must arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled game time.  Below are the primary duties of the board member on duty

  • Get game balls ready for the umpires;  One new and one used ball for weekday games, and two new balls on weekend games.  Only two balls are allowed per field, and all balls must be turned back in to the concession window.
  • Make sure scoreboards are turned on at lighting control panel and plugged in up stairs in the scorekeeping area.
  • Make sure bases are in the right place for the age group on the field.
  • Hang copy of rules on the inside of the backstop.  Rules for each field are located in the equipment room.
  • Make sure umpires are logged in before each game.  If umpires are not there 15 minutes before the game time, call Matt Miller.
  • Handle any rule conflict that may arise during any game.
  • Turn lights on at dusk.
  • After games, collect rules from each field backstop and make sure all balls are put in the used ball bucket in the back equipment room.
  • Help Concession Coordinator county money.
  • Make sure all lights are turned off by 10:30pm, at the latest.
  • Close all windows upstairs in the scorekeeping area.
  • Turn off all scoreboard controls in the scorekeeping area.
  • Make sure all doors are locked.

Remember, if you are going to swap duty with another board member, or someone is going to take your position for any reason, you must e-mail the webmaster@kennesawsoftball.com to update the duty roster.  This is the roster the city and board will go to for any issues.
