"I am writing this letter to let you know how impressed I am with my son’s MMYB 12U Storm Team. I have been involved with baseball all my life playing, and now as a coach. My son was asked to come out and check out a 12U team that had tryouts a few months back. At first I didn’t know what to expect and thought that we will give it a shot. I am so impressed with Coach Jim Lafferty and his program.

Coming from [another baseball program] has been an adjustment. Playing Pony League rules with lead offs, stealing, etc. is a big change for the kids. Jim has four [new] players from [another baseball program] on the team and his passion, patience and knowledge of the game is second to none. All my son can talk about is how much fun he is having. All I can talk about is how much my son is learning and how much of a better player he is today than just 2 months ago. This experience has truly been a blessing and I am hoping Coach Lafferty continues this program after this season is over. I wish we had found out about this program years ago."

"I am writing you because we are new to MMYB, coming over from [another baseball program]. We wanted a change for our son and heard such great things about the MM program. Since we joined in August I have to tell you that our family is extremely impressed with the league and the coaching staff. We are enjoying the team, the families and the rules of the league. We wanted more for our son, to advance his skills and knowledge of the game and we have found that with Mira Mesa’s Youth Baseball program. It's also nice to have the umpires at these games instead of having to rely on other dads. This way they can enjoy watching the game, if they chose not to be a “coach” or “umpire”. It has been nice so far to see my son’s growth and so rapidly too! I can’t say enough for the dads who HAVE stepped up to be in that coaching position… they have been so engaged with the boys. Our family is so happy to be a part of a great team and league!
