Where do our registration dollars go?

Q: What does our registration fee cover?

A: VYTF has many expenses that must be paid in order to best serve our community year in & year out. For the past 40 years VYTF has proudly been a standard of excellence for youth football in Tulare County. Your registration dollars cover insurance costs, AVYFL Fee's, officials for the games, advertising, registration forms, field maintenance and equipment replacement and refurbishment costs.

These are just a few things that are done with your registration dollars. We spend 10's of thousands of dollars every year (some leagues only re-certify helmets every 2 years) strictly on equipment safety and helmet re-certification to make sure our children are not only properly outfitted, but are also safe. This is what makes VYTF a great and safe environment for all of our children.

In addition, you're player will receive all the equipment for the season necessary to play. Helmet, shoulder pads, game jersey, practice pants and game pants.

VYTF is always seeking long term solutions to improve your and your athletes football experience by giving them the most "bang for the buck" where possible and maintaining a solvent and long lasting program for the ages.

VYTF encourages all parents to call the board with questions they may have concerning Registrations to have them answered directly from a board member, or attend a public board meeting to express an opinion.  We trust returning and new parents would want any question about the program answered directly from volunteers who are administrating it so parents may make the decision on whats best for their athlete.

Q: How are players and cheeleaders assigned to teams?

A:  Players and Cheeleaders are divided by grade, age and school assignment.

All Valley Youth Football (AVYFL) is the governing body for all towns associated with AVYFL. This year the divisions and weight requirements have been changed. (2016)

Bantams; 1st-2nd grade. Max roster of 25. Pee-Wee's; 3rd-4th grade. Juniors; 5th-6th grade. Seniors; 7th-8th grade, cannot turn 15 on/before 12/01 and no high school freshman.

WEIGHT limits have been eliminated for ALL divisions. No Birth Certificates needed for certification. Certification will be using an Official School record indicating grade, age, d.o.b and must include a picture.

PLEASE NOTE; ANY TOWN, INCLUDING VYTF, CAN HAVE IT'S OWN SPECIFICATIONS AS TO WHAT DIVISION PLAYERS ARE ASSIGNED BASED ON NEED OF A PARTICULAR DIVISION AND TOWN. VYTF WILL BE LOOKING AT THESE NEW DIVISIONS AND WELCOMES SUGGESTIONS IF THERE ARE CONCERNS.
