Our Program is designed to help our student athletes develop into responsible citizens, capable leaders, and strong wrestlers by teaching the habits of a champion, both on the mat and off.
Heart: The heart of a champion roars in the face of adversity. No matter the circumstance, there’s always a way to win. Heart is about the refusal to give up and the will to find success.
Attitude: A true champion has inner strength and respects everyone. The ability to listen, learn, focus, work hard, and to help and inspire teammates to do the same is at the core.
Belief: A champion builds success upon failure. He grows stronger by constantly pushing his own limits. He knows that all good goals are attainable and never, never, never gives up.
Intensity: The face of a champion is unmistakable: It is the face of determination.
Training: Champions are made long before the competition begins. A champion must train harder than his opponent.
Sacrifice: “You will come to know that what appears today to be a sacrifice will prove instead to be the greatest investment that you will ever make.”
Warhawks History
We practice in Western Howard County, Maryland. In 2009 The Warhawks Travel Team went undefeated and won both the AAWL and the MD/VA tournament.
In 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, and 2012/13 the Warhawks Rec team won the Howard County Wrestling Crown.
As a wrestling club, the Warhawks regularly travel throughout Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and other states to participate in individual tournaments.
Our wrestlers have won many team and individual honors including State and tournament championships. We have multiple MSWA State Champions on our team as well as Mid Atlantic Wrestling Association (MAWA)’s Eastern National Champions, Ohio TOC Champions, War At the Shore Champion. and many others.
