APW will be sponsoring a canning drive on;
-Saturday, October 3, 2009 for Cheerleaders, from 9:00am - 3:00pm, and on
-Saturday, October 17, 2009 for Football Players, from 9:00am - 3:00pm.
Your child is required to arrive at a designated location 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time.
It is mandatory that all football players and cheerleaders participate in this event. All children are required to have an adult with them at all times when canning. One of the conditions of us being allowed to can at businesses is that the parent visibly be with the child, not sitting in a car unnoticed. We will also need parents to help with the check in and check out of children. We need to know where our children are at all times.
Children will be required to commit to a 2 hour block of time. You will need to bring a container: a milk jug or coffee can which can be decorated with Arlington colors relating to football or cheerleading with at least a 1 ½ inch opening at the top, and clearly states Arlington Pop Warner.
Cheerleaders are required to be in full uniform, football players are required wear their game jersey with khaki pants/shorts and appropriate footwear. Don’t buy anything just for canning - just have the boys dressed as clean and neat as possible as they are representing Arlington Pop Warner.
In September a flyer will be sent home detailing all information pertaining to this event. Please help this event to be successful by participating and volunteering your time. This event helps us to raise money to offset the cost and fees that are associated with running such a great organization.
