Butler United U13 Boys Premier wins the Thunder United Metro Classic U14 Soccer Tournament.
The Butler United U13 Boys played 4 quality matches in the Thunder United Classic Soccer tournament August 22nd & 23rd. They started the tournament with a 4-3 victory over the host team, Thunder United. That was followed with a 6-0 wins over the Thunders U14 boys team. The Semifinal match was a Butler 3-1 win. In the finals, Butler United started strong with great team play posting 2 goals in the first 10 minutes on their way to a 4-1 win. This championship comes on the heals of a second place finish in the MVYSA Premier Division this past spring. The Butler United team was motivated to win this tournament for their coach, Vic Lauterbach, who is currently deployed to Iraq.
