Code of Conduct
It is the purpose of the NYC CHSAA to promote the highest standard of fair play and sportsmanship. Keeping in mind the Christian beliefs of all our schools and promoting this belief through the behavior of our student athletes, coaches, and spectators that is above criticism, we will adhere to the code of conduct as put forth by the by-laws of each sport.
The success of this purpose is directly elated to the coaches’ sense of responsibility, diligence in supervision, and effectiveness in enforcement.
The CHSAA has its goal to "offer the boys and girls who attend the member schools an education of quality in a true Catholic tradition of academic excellence and moral qualities." Consistent with this mission is the stated purpose of the CHSAA program; namely, "to provide the best athletic competition possible without sacrificing our academic integrity and moral character."
Further it is the CHSAA’s intent to amplify the student-athlete’s educational experience by providing opportunities for physical vigor, leadership, and individual discipline, all of which are benefits of a well-run athletic program.
