Coaching Certification
Beginning in 2009, Concord Northeast is recommending that all coaches at the AAA level and above be certified through Cal Ripken, in order to be in compliance with the national organization's new rules. This can be done via the national Cal Ripken website, www.ripkencoaching.org. The cost to take the online course is $19.95 and is valid throughout a coach's entire career with the Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken organization.

Rain Out Policy
Game/practice postponements may be made PRIOR to the game by the Sanel Park Facility Supervisor ONLY if the fields are unplayable. If the Home Team Manager finds the field unplayable AT GAME TIME he/she may also postpone the game. Once the game begins it is the sole discretion of the umpire to stop the game due to field conditions and/or weather. Games played at alternate fields are under the cognizance of that host league.

Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Jewelry Policy
The Babe Ruth Softball and Cal Ripken Baseball rule concerning jewelry is as follows: No player shall wear any type of jewelry, including bracelets, necklaces, or ear rings, during any game or practice. This includes plastic and/or rubber bracelets, piercings, or hard plastic or metal hair ties. Covering any piercing with tape or other covering is not permitted - it must be removed. In the interest of safety, players will not be allowed to participate in team activities unless they comply with this rule.
