The roster must be signed by the coach verifying the names of all players. Please print neat – these rosters are used for the awards ceremonies.
    2. Fees: The playoff fee of $80.00 per team must be paid in CASH when you check in prior to your first match, no checks will be accepted (Fees are used to pay the referees).
    3. Game Cards: Coaches must have two game cards for each match that you play (one for the referee and one for the opposing coach). Game cards are not necessary for the Developmental Tournament
    4. Home/Away Team: The higher seeded teams shall be considered the Home team and must wear their Home jersey color, which by high school rules should be a light or white color. All teams must bring both Home and Away jerseys in case of any conflict with colors.
    5. Benches: The home team will occupy the bench nearest the road. The visiting team will have the bench farthest from the road.
    6. Warm Up and Pre Game: Due to the tight game schedule and limited daylight, games need to start on time. Coaches should ensure that your teams are warmed up and in the immediate vicinity of the game field 5 minutes before the previous game ends. There will be no warm up time on the designated game field. All warm up must be done prior to taking the game field. As soon as a game ends, the coaches must move their teams off the bench for their post game meetings. The next games’ teams should move to their bench and coaches should check their teams for proper uniform and exchange game cards. Captains will then be called by the referees. Then the teams should say the Diocesan prayer. The prayer can be done by the benches to save time.
    7. Game Conduct:For JV and Varsity, there should be no more than 3 coaching personnel shall be on the players sideline during the game. This includes the head coach, assistant coaches, trainers, statisticians, or any other teenagers or adults associated with the team. For Developmental, there should be no more that 2 coaching personnel. Coaches are responsible for the conduct of the coaching staff, their players, and their fans. No coaches, fans, or players shall be permitted behind the end line or near the goal area during the game.
    8. Game Length and OvertimeAll matches shall consist of two 30 minute halves with a 5 minute half time break. Matches ending in a tie shall play one 5 minute “Golden Goal” overtime period. If neither team scores during the “Golden Goal” period, we will go to an FIFA style shootout using the following rules:

      1. Only players on the field at the end of the 5 minute Sudden Death will be involved in the shootout. Coaches must keep their shooters on the field and identify the first five shooters. The goalie can be a shooter. Any player can be the goalie for the shootout.
      2. Each team will have 5 shooters from the 12 yard penalty spot alternating one from each team.
      3. The shootout process continues for all 5 players from both teams, the team with the most scores at the end will be deemed the winner.
      4. If at the end of the five shooters, the score is still tied, the shootout will continue in a “Sudden Death” style with alternating players.

    9. Rules: The NFHS Soccer Rule Book and the DSL Rule Book will apply to all matches. The official’s rulings on the field shall be final.
    10. Post Game Ceremonies: After all Developmental, JV, and Varsity Championship games, teams and families are asked to move as quickly as possible to the DSL Tent. Please refrain from team pictures, team meetings etc. after the game. These can be done after the DSL ceremony. At the tent both teams will be recognized. All coaches who play in the Championship Game are asked to bring to the tent a written list of:
      • ONE (1) Most Outstanding Player
      • THREE (3) All Tournament Team Players.

    11. Concession: Teams are asked not to have a team buffet meals or set up a tailgate. Rather, teams are encouraged to use the concession provided by the host school.
