“A Brief History “
Delaware Valley Independence Football League
The Del Val was establish 1996, with interest of a new league the LCFL in 2004.The Del Val elected to move the league to the Labelle Community Football League (LCFL) for the 2004 season. Unhappy with several aspect & future outlook of the LCFL franchise personnel from Holmesburg Ramblers , Overbrook Chargers , Warminster Colts , NW Giants ,Tabor Rams and the Oxford Saints conversed in late 2004 to determine what changes were needed , Bring back the Del Val was the answer, with the cord teams from the Del Val decided to go with a new name The Delaware Valley Independence Football League which stood for Character, Honesty ,Respect for others . The first thing we did was selected a Commissioner after a long search we was able to select Warren Gillis as our new Commissioner a Head Official from the PIAA. He will also putting the crew together for Official .10 meeting later a league Constitution & by-Laws where drafted & approved by the team owners . The six founding teams were deemed Charter Franchise. The DVIFL was ready to begin its 2005 inaugural season. The Del Val Independence Football League would like to thank all their fans and players for being positive and supporting us. As our new adventure begins. Stay tune as we continue to grow and be the best Adult Football league in the area.
